Dr Elizabeth Reddish
Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is helpful for people whose difficulties are psychological or emotional in origin. In a calm setting, with attention devoted entirely to you, you will be invited to express your thoughts and feelings freely. It is a ‘talking cure’ designed to gain insight into what drives your behaviour and the extent to which unconscious beliefs may be impacting negatively on the present. Are you able to make good, sound decisions, or are you more likely to feel ‘compelled’ to behave in ways that are ultimately unproductive? This service is delivered in fifty-minute sessions on an on-going, regular basis between one and three times per week, to be agreed between patient and therapist. The duration of treatment will vary in each case.

It is the treatment of choice for individuals who need help with the following problems

  • Anxiety
  • Confusion
  • Bereavement
  • Trauma
  • Depression
  • Obsessional Neurosis
  • Phobias
  • Stress
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Life crisis
